STEEL CITY DIVISION

Malcolm Sokol has started building his layout based on the Birmingham Industrial District in the 1950's and 60's. The track plan features Finley Yard, the downtown grade seperation and several of the major industries in the Birmingham area during that time period, He will also have local iron ore and coal mines represented on his layout.

 

An interesting freature of the layout is that it is being built as 9 separate modules. These modules are connected using wood dowels and C clamps.
